Widow (40 second preview)

I’m in a midst of a musical slump right now, which may or may not be happening since I’m focusing most of my attention developing a game. So bear in mind that some of the music I’ll be uploading from now until sometime will probably not be on par with my previous experiments because of this.

For this piece, I’ve tried my hand at making a bit of a haunting atmosphere, all while making it sound like it would be recorded in a church. Unfortunately, I think it ended up sounding too inauthentic at times, and I think it sounds a bit too loud and noisy for the mood I’m trying to convey. I also have no idea why the clipping is present in this recording while it isn’t in the raw recording. I may have to modify the waveforms later.

I’m planning on writing the song to tell the story about a widow who vents her guilt in a confessional after her husband committed suicide.

Back to programming and school shenanigans, I guess.
